Underworld

UNDERWORLD
Meg Cabot

★★★☆
“Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible. She's not dead. Not this time.”

Escaping from the Underworld is impossible if the death deity in charge wants you back. Pierce isn’t dead, not this time. This time she’s being held prisoner in the dark castle worlds away from Isla Huesos, where her friends and family are. Her captor, John Hayden, forbids her to leave, claiming the Furies are trying to kill her because it’ll hurt him. Some of the departed are so unsatisfied with their final resting place that they come back as Furies, intent on revenge on the person who sent them there and his love. But even if Pierce is protected from the Furies in the Underworld, they can still get at those she loves back on Isla Huesos, and lure John and Pierce out by hurting them. Her captor is so in love with her he would have her give up her whole world to be with him. Unless Pierce is careful, this time she’ll be stuck- for good.
The second installment in the Abandon trilogy, Meg Cabot has done it again. A successful continuation of Abandon, this novel answers the unanswered, then presents you with more questions. Will Pierce fall for the pomegranate trick? Will Alex survive? I loved this book because it's sort of a cross between Percy Jackson and a romance novel. It's actually not a bad combination. READ ITTTTT :)
